The new version of Fydji WS Web Services publication framework was made available for public download. This is completely rewritten framework version whose goal was to improve Web Services publication performances and simplify services creation process, taking into account the experience acquired during previous versions development and usage.

This framework version now relies on Apache Axis2 Web Services publication engine, significantly improving Web Services execution performances. Web Services descriptions are simplified in order to make user include only necessary declarations. This version has better databases operations support achieved trough the implementation of specific adaptors for each particular target database. Fydji WS now also includes a new mapping to LDAP directories and LDAP search operations implementation. This version also provides a great number of improvements and bug fixes for Java, JavaScript and PHP clients.

Fydji.org site has been update. The new site is now backed by Joomla, a popular open source portal and content management system solution.

The site organization is a bit changed compared to the old Fydji.org site. We have included new open source projects developed by Fylab: Fydji Portal and Fydji Commons. Of course, Fydji WS project is also available.

Each project has now its own "space" on Fydji.org site where you may find all related informations: general presentation, versions references, download links, documentation, etc...

The site now also offers the possibility to subscribe to RSS feeds related to general site news and to particular project versions.

An new version of Fydji WS framework and corresponding QuickStart project has been published. This release introduces the support for Web Services operations mapped directly to applications, shell scripts and other executables! There are also some improvements in project's management task and better support for Oracle data types.

This guide is based on the QuickStart project which may be downloaded with the last Fydji WS version (see the download page at SourceForge). The guide gives a short presentation of Fydji WS framework usage principles.

Finally!! We are happy to announce the availability of a new Fydji WS framework version! This release has got the 1.5 version number, because it is already far ahead from the planned 1.0 version, but it still has not all the features planed for the 2.0

You may consult the Version page for more information on this version. Just note that it is now possible to call Fydji WS Web Services from JavaScript/AJAX and PHP applications. The REST-ful services publication is also supported. The framework has a new, better organized build system and a number of bug fixes and improvements.

This Fydji WS release is considered as stable.

This release contains many internal changes and introduces some new functionalities. Some changes are incompatible with the previous release of Fydji WS framework (version 0.9.7).

The compatibility issues are mainly related to the generated Java classes to be used on the client side. The general organization of existing Fydji WS projects remains unchanged. There are also some minor corrections in Web Service definition files (.wsd).

The Web Services generated using Fydji WS framework now pass the WS-I Basic Profile conformance tests.

With this version we get closer to the "1.0.0" release. However, at least one more "0.9.x" series release is planed before the "final" one.

An update is available for Fydji WS 0.9.7 version. It corrects the errors found in wsdescription.xsd file (XML schema description for .wsd files). See the README file included with this update.

The new version 0.9.7 of Fydji WS is released.

This release contains many "internal" modifications and improvements: Java classes and packages refactoring, project structure reorganization, better code documentation. Its goal is to bring the stable API and code base for future Fydji WS releases.

This release also focuses the WS-I Basic Profile compatibility issues. The WSDL definition published by a Fydji WS application now meets WS-I BP specification requirements. Some additional corrections must be applied to the content of published services in order to be fully WS-I BP compliant. They will be included in the next Fydji WS release.

The new release 0.9.6 of Fydji WS framework is now available for download.

This release includes a new feature: the possibility to map Web Services to a method of some Java class. Some additional modifications and bug fixes are also included.
